"Let's Have a Duets Party!"
Primary Piano Duets in Five-Finger Positions

Practicing the piano can be very lonely for many students. Playing duets with their peers can make it less so!
So...... Why not have an all-duets "party" at your school or studio this year? Remind your students that playing music is a great way to meet and spend time with friends!
Pair up your students by age, gender and skill level. (If you teach a pair of friends from school, be sure to let them play together. ) For coaching, simply invite each student to attend 1-2 of their duet partner's lessons and work on the duet with then. You can also get them playing in unison (one at either end of the piano)--or in a call and response fashion -- from the songs they both know in their method books!
